ReplyDeleteA miracle occured this morning. I woke up and felt like walking! I donned my sneakers and "walking clothes" and set out on my course. The first thing that hit me was humid, soggy air. "Good for sweating", I told myself. Immediately, I heard birds chirping all around me. It was a happy song too! They were greeting the morning and praising God - awesome! I passed by the lake to hear honking. At first I thought it was a person making strange noises, but then I realized it was the geese on the lake. Wow, didn't know there were geese in my neighborhood. I am walking to a symphony of all types of birds - God's creatures singing a morning conert. How amazing. I turn a corner and head east. There, far away and above me is a big orange circle - the sun! It's bright and it is really big, and since it is shrouded in clouds I can look straight at it. Wow, the light God made in those 7 short days providing daylight, yet, I can look straight at it. I turn my head to my right and there they are, the rays of the sun in a wide, straight path shining on the lake. I'm reminded of something my husband always says proves that there is a God. Even in the cement all around us - on highways, bridges, ugly walls, you will find green plants somehow growing out of cement. And it is true, no matter what men may do, no matter what men may build, no matter there are forced abortions in China and still too many people, men cannot stop God from creating and proliferating life. Not even in the stoniest of hearts. Our God can romance a stone! Awesome!
